Description

The 3,415-acre Trail of Tears State Park helps visitors to better understand the history of the American Indians' relocation to Oklahoma. The visitor center has many exhibits and interpretive programs that walk you through this era of American history. Bird watching, camping, fishing, picnicking, horseback riding, hiking, boating, swimming and metal detecting are other popular activities here. The park's four hiking trails equal about 15 miles in length. The trails take you through historic homesteads. Each trail is a different level of difficulty.
